Outfall safety grilles measuring 890 x 690mm and compliant with Sewerage Sector Guidance should be a minimum of 270mm wider than the outer diameter of the connecting pipework. These grilles must feature bars with 100mm spacing, be hinged, and include a padlock facility. They are ideal to retro-fit to in-situ or brickwork headwalls.
The 450mm Sewers for Adoption Outfall Safety Grille Type 1 is specifically designed to accommodate concrete pipework up to 450mm and twinwall plastic pipework up to 500mm.
